Michael Norviel has long been recognized as the creator of exquisite figurative studies, stunning portraits, still lifes and breathtaking interpretations of regional landscapes.
The long established artist has exhibited work in Santa Fe, New Mexico; Key West, Florida; Scottsdale, Arizona; New York, New York; and Paris, France. His celebrated portrait of writer Ernest Hemingway is offered as an art print in both the Hemingway House in Keywest, Florida and the Ernest Hemingway Museum in Oak Park, Illinois.
Norviel, who studied both at Pennsylvania State University and the Art Institute of Boston, is a Massachusetts General Hospital-Harvard Medical School medical illustration graduate. His medical art has been published internationally, including over two hundred and fifty complete medical texts, chapters and monographs.
