Erica has been a professional river guide in the Grand Canyon for ten years. The river trips have given her a most amazing strength, helping her face this daily life. Erica says, "A ten day river trip is life changing to most of the people who take the time to experience the river”. Because the river is such an amazing experience, it can give to many people an astonishing strength to face this life, this is true especially for Erica. The positive experience generated by the passengers is as inspiring for Erica as the Canyon itself.

When Erica is on the river she gathers inspiration, ideas, takes photographs and draws quick sketches of many areas. Most of her paintings are created during home time, in Tuscon, Arizona when she is not working on the river.

Erica’s higher education has included graphic design, music, ethnobotany, geology, and wilderness medicine. Erica is now experiencing the excitement of sharing her art with the greater community.
