Bret Blevins grew up loving good storytelling and dramatic images, and has combined that passion in his narrative artwork for over twenty five years. A self-taught artist, Bret began illustrating comic books in 1981, visualizing the adventures of characters such as Spiderman, Batman, Superman, the X-Men, the Hulk, Luke Skywalker of Star Wars and countless others. Moving into the field of anima- tion in 1996, Bret won two Emmy awards for his storyboard Contributions to the Warner Bros television programs Superman, The New Batman/Superman Adventures, Batman Beyond, the Justice League and others, as well as Disney's Tarzan and Atlantis, and Film Roman's X-Men. Bret has returned to comic book artwork in recent years, creating Pirates of the Caribbean and The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh stories for Disney Adventures Magazine. A graphic novel adaptation of Brian Jacques' Redwall novel has been published by Penquin/Random House.
